Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in Medicaid systems and proficiency in data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Medicaid program requirements, regulations, and processes, coupled with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The role requires exceptional analytical skills, effective communication, and the capacity to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Medicaid Program Expertise:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid programs, policies, and regulations.
    • Interpret and analyze Medicaid program requirements to inform system design and implementation.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to Medicaid.
  2. Business Requirements Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical solutions.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract insights from Medicaid system data.
    • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor program performance and compliance.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in Medicaid data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  4. System Implementation Support:
    • Work closely with IT teams and vendors to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
    • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate user training sessions as needed.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Communicate effectively with business users, IT teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance and recommendations based on expertise in Medicaid systems and data analysis.
  6. Project Management:
    • Lead or contribute to project planning, scoping, and estimation activities.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively address them to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
    • Provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
Qualification Required:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Medicaid systems and data analysis. In-depth knowledge of Medicaid programs, regulations, and policies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools. Experience working on software development projects in Agile environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPO, CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
